Responsibilities

• Manage general shift activities relating to power plant performance and safety.
• Organize and control scheduled testing of the firefighting system and update the related documentation.
• Organize in-house training programmes for the implementation of standard operating procedures.
• Support the Operations Section Head in preparing standard operating procedures for critical activities.
• Provide in-house training to field staff to improve their skills and support efficient operations.
• Ensure housekeeping and control cleaning activities in the power plant area.
• Post power plant production data to SAP accurately and without errors.
• Ensure equipment healthiness and update the pending job list for job planning.
• Support shift staff in the proper handling of emergencies within the assigned area.
• Prepare and maintain power plant production reports and records.
• Manage housekeeping, general shift operations, safety activities and environment-related activities.
• Implement in-house training, prepare standard operating procedures and train field staff to support efficient, uninterrupted operation and avoid equipment stoppage or tripping.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• A minimum of 15 years of relevant plant work experience in gas-based power plant operations.
• In-depth understanding of power plant systems and the interactions among those systems.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good networking and teaming skills.
• Good data-gathering and analysis skills.
• Baseline problem-analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
• Proficiency in using office productivity tools.
• Knowledge of SAP production report preparation.
