ATECH Polytechnic is recruiting a Social Media and Media Communication Teacher to train students in digital communication, content creation, and responsible use of social media platforms. Position Summary

The Social Media and Media Communication Teacher will deliver practical lessons that help students understand digital communication strategies, social media platforms, branding, and content creation. The role combines classroom instruction with hands-on learning to ensure students gain real-world skills they can apply in business, education, and professional communication.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach the fundamentals of social media communication and digital media.
  • Train students to create content for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WhatsApp Business.
  • Introduce learners to online branding, storytelling, audience engagement, and digital professionalism.
  • Deliver practical lessons on creating social media posts, captions, short-form videos, flyers, reels, and basic marketing campaigns.
  • Promote responsible online communication, digital safety, and ethical social media practices.
  • Prepare lesson plans, classroom activities, assignments, and student assessments.
  • Encourage students to use digital platforms effectively for education, business, career development, and public communication.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Good understanding of major social media platforms and digital communication.
  • Experience in content creation, media communication, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related fields.
  • The ability to explain concepts clearly to beginners using practical examples.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and classroom facilitation skills.
  • Working knowledge of digital tools such as Canva, CapCut, Facebook Business Suite, or similar applications will be an advantage.
  • Previous teaching or training experience is desirable.
