Senior General Manager, HEMM

Job Overview

The Senior General Manager, HEMM will coordinate routine maintenance and emergency repairs for the fuel, brake, electrical and transmission systems of equipment used in mining operations. The role oversees maintenance planning, work execution, standards, costs and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance resources for all equipment used in mining operations.
• Supervise, coordinate and monitor the execution of scheduled work plans, as well as unplanned emergency and breakdown work.
• Determine the sequence and assignment of work according to work priority and the availability of equipment and manpower.
• Ensure that the highest maintenance standards are applied and maintained while managing available resources, including costs.
• Ensure team members work safely and follow all safety standards and safe work practices.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 25 years of work experience in the repair and maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery.
• In-depth knowledge of mining operational and maintenance processes.
• Very good diagnostic and organisational skills.
