Role Purpose

The Sectional Head will oversee instrumentation engineering and maintenance activities for Cement Mills and Additive Transport. The position is responsible for implementing maintenance policies and procedures that improve equipment reliability, support safe operations and maintain the plant’s availability for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Review maintenance projections and schedules for instrumentation equipment supporting Cement Mills and Additive Transport.
• Ensure preventive maintenance programmes are implemented according to approved schedules.
• Monitor the effectiveness of maintenance programmes and assess recurring maintenance work or rework.
• Recommend improvements where maintenance performance does not meet operational requirements.
• Enforce approved technical standards and safe working procedures across the assigned operational areas.
• Ensure instrumentation activities comply with applicable departmental requirements and regulations.
• Provide technical leadership to instrumentation personnel working within Cement Mills and Additive Transport.
• Support the training and professional development of team members.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of demonstrated experience in maintenance operations.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a management position.
• In-depth knowledge of Cement Mills and Additive Transport operations and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Vertical Roller Mill systems and their maintenance requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage drive operation and maintenance.
