Position Summary

The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, managing reconciliations, and supporting regulatory compliance activities. The role also involves monitoring healthcare-related financial transactions, including Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) claims and settlements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As an Account Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions within the accounting system.

  • Processing vendor payments, invoices, and debt recovery activities.

  • Producing monthly reconciliation reports and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and other finance-related projects assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, reconciliation, or healthcare financial operations.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting procedures.
  • Familiarity with HMO billing, healthcare claims management, or revenue assurance processes is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Experience working with accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.

Location Requirement

This role is based in Lagos State. Preference will be given to candidates residing within Lagos Mainland, particularly Surulere and surrounding areas, due to operational requirements and workplace accessibility.
