Job Overview

The Cold Drink Equipment Analyst will support the financial performance of Nigerian Bottling Company’s Cold Drink Equipment (CDE) and Cold Drink Operations (CDO) activities. The role focuses on turning financial and operational data into insights that support investment decisions, improve equipment utilisation and strengthen business performance.

Working within the Execution Excellence (CDE) team, the analyst will contribute to profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, investment evaluation and equipment lifecycle analysis. The position is based in Lagos and is classified as an on-site role for experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse CDE profitability and identify opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Support CDE and CDO budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support CDE investment decisions.
  • Prepare accurate and timely CDE profit and loss statements and management reports.
  • Monitor CDE and CDO performance indicators and highlight key trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct CDE and CDO lifecycle analysis to support equipment optimisation and improved utilisation.
  • Support business case development and financial evaluation of new CDE and CDO initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate CDE equipment data and support related financial and administrative processes.
  • Partner with Finance, Commercial, CDE, CDO and other functions to drive business performance.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve reporting and strengthen decision-making.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • University degree or HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, management accounting or business performance analysis.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and financial reporting.
  • Strong SAP, SAP BW or similar ERP and reporting systems experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation capability.
  • Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and make sound business decisions.
  • Proactive, collaborative and results-oriented mindset.
