Job Overview

The Fuel Loading and Logistics Officer will coordinate the supply chain processes that support the efficient movement of AGO/fuel. The role covers transportation, inventory and distribution activities, with responsibility for ensuring compliance with company policies, HSE requirements, refinery regulations and industry practices.

Working within Dangote Cement Plc, the officer will monitor fuel loading activities, maintain accurate stock and documentation records, coordinate with operational stakeholders, and support improvements in refinery logistics and tracking processes.

Responsibilities

Inventory Management and Reconciliation

• Track fuel movement and maintain accurate stock levels at storage facilities.
• Reconcile received and dispatched fuel volumes to help prevent shortages and losses.
• Work with finance teams on invoice verification and payment processing.
• Maintain accurate product records and documentation for reconciliation.

Loading Operations and Coordination

• Oversee the efficient and timely loading of AGO from the refinery.
• Ensure loading activities follow schedules and meet required volume-accuracy standards.
• Coordinate with refinery staff, transporters and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth operations.

Compliance and Safety Monitoring

• Ensure adherence to HSE policies, product-handling standards, refinery regulations and industry best practices.
• Monitor tank levels, metering accuracy and loading safety protocols.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement loss-prevention measures.

Performance Monitoring and Process Improvement

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly logistics reports covering fuel movement and inventory status.
• Identify bottlenecks in refinery logistics and recommend process improvements.
• Identify and resolve loading bottlenecks, improve turnaround times and enhance operational efficiency.
• Work with IT teams to optimize logistics tracking software and automation tools.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND from a reputable institution.
• Four years of relevant experience in oil and gas and logistics.
