Regional Security Lead (North East)

Job Overview

The Regional Security Lead will oversee security operations across Moniepoint’s North East region, helping protect the company’s people, offices and equipment. The role combines physical security leadership, risk assessment, incident response, stakeholder engagement and the use of security technology to maintain safe and resilient operations.

The successful candidate will lead on-ground security teams, identify and reduce vulnerabilities, coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services, and provide factual reports following security breaches and accidents. The role also supports asset recovery and fraud investigations when required.

Success in the role will be reflected in safe and fully operational regional offices, highly prepared security personnel, strong relationships with local stakeholders, functional security technology, and factual, actionable documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of security policies that protect people, offices and equipment across the region.
• Conduct regular security assessments, identify vulnerabilities and design strategies to reduce risk.
• Supervise and mentor private security guards and armed police personnel, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and respectfully.
• Act as the primary liaison with law enforcement and emergency services during emergencies.
• Lead responses to security breaches and accidents, producing clear and factual reports.
• Design and deliver training programmes for security personnel and employees on life-saving protocols.
• Monitor security trends and technologies, including CCTV and access control, to keep regional operations modern and resilient.
• Provide guidance on asset recovery and fraud investigations when required by the business.

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least five years of experience successfully leading a security team in a guard services or physical security company, or five years of experience as an ex-commissioned service personnel supervisor in the military, police or paramilitary.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Psychology, Criminal Justice or a related field.
• A recognised security certification such as CPP, PSP or CPO.
• A clean criminal record and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to speak the local dialects of the major tribes in the assigned region.
• Good experience working with automated security systems, including CCTV cameras and burglary alarm systems.
