Consultancy Overview
The consultant will support UNICEF Nigeria in strengthening Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) innovation, digital engagement approaches, and Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) systems as part of integrated programme activities.
The assignment will focus on improving research, information systems, and digital engagement methods that help programmes better understand community needs and respond effectively.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The consultant will contribute to the following areas:
Digital Youth Engagement Research
- Support research activities focused on youth digital engagement and participation.
- Analyse findings and provide recommendations to strengthen youth-focused programming.
- Document insights from digital engagement initiatives.
NOA Hotline Transition Support
- Support activities related to the transition and improvement of hotline systems.
- Review information flows, feedback mechanisms, and operational processes.
- Contribute to improving accessibility and effectiveness of communication channels.
Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) Information Management
- Support the management and analysis of community feedback information.
- Improve documentation and reporting systems.
- Assist teams in using feedback data for programme decision-making.
Education Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Social Sciences
- Public Health
- Information Management
- Data Science
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Communication for Development
- Social and Behaviour Change
- A related discipline
Professional Experience Required
Candidates should have:
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in areas such as:
- Social and Behaviour Change
- Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP)

Applicants should also demonstrate experience in:
- Supporting coordination and analysis activities.

Required Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Experience in SBC, community engagement, or community feedback systems.

- Familiarity with digital engagement initiatives, youth research, hotline systems, CRM platforms, or Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFM).
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage consultancy deliverables remotely.
- Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, privacy, and safeguarding principles.
Language Requirements
