What the Role Involves

Digital Health Systems and Programme Support

The largest part of the role will focus on supporting the design, implementation, and management of digital health solutions used in Malaria Consortium programmes.

The Digital Health Technical Officer will support digital health needs assessments and help identify solutions that are appropriate for specific programme and health system contexts.

Responsibilities will include supporting:

• Requirements gathering and analysis.

Digital Platform Development and Integration

The position will support improvements to both existing and new digital health platforms.

The officer will also support the integration of digital platforms with national systems and other technology solutions. This requires close coordination with partners and contractors to ensure that systems can exchange information effectively and operate within the wider health information environment.

The role may further involve working with government stakeholders to establish local server hosting and strengthen technical capacity at the beginning of programmes. The goal is to support the long-term sustainability and scalability of digital health systems.

Training and Technical Assistance

A significant part of the role involves helping others use and manage digital health systems effectively.

The Digital Health Technical Officer will develop:

Qualifications and Professional Experience

The position will work closely with PF/SMC programme teams, including the Programme Technical Specialist, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, and Senior M&E Officers.

The officer will also liaise with colleagues across the Digital Health Team, Monitoring & Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), Communications, Data Management, and the Senior Country Technical Coordinator functions.

Externally, the role will involve collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), state Ministries of Health, State Malaria Elimination Programmes, Local Government Areas, partner organisations, technology partners, technical experts, and other stakeholders.

Strong working relationships with stakeholders in sub-national areas of operation will also be important.
