FairMoney is a mobile banking institution specializing in extending credit to emerging markets. Established in 2017, the company operates primarily in Nigeria and has secured nearly €50 million in funding from global investors including Tiger Global, DST and Flourish Ventures.

FairMoney is developing a mobile banking platform and point-of-sale solution for emerging markets. Its services include a digital microcredit application for Android and iOS devices, current accounts, savings accounts, debit cards and point-of-sale solutions for merchants and agents.

The company has a workforce comprising more than 27 nationalities and focuses on reshaping financial services for underserved communities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new merchants and generate revenue.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants to support their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and market trends.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with merchants.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product and Operations teams to support a seamless customer experience.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field is an added advantage.
  • At least two years of experience in sales, business development or a similar role.
  • Experience in the transaction finance industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

The recruitment process includes a 30-minute screening call with a member of the recruitment team, followed by a technical interview with the hiring manager lasting 30 to 60 minutes.
