Position Overview

The STEM Hub Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day management of the SHE Centre and support adolescent and youth programming across Lagos State. The successful candidate will coordinate STEM and vocational learning activities, manage enrolment processes, oversee centre operations, and work with programme teams to ensure activities are delivered effectively.

The role also involves engaging with beneficiaries, donors, community partners, and other stakeholders to support successful programme implementation.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Coordinate daily activities at the SHE Centre.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and operational procedures.
  • Support transparent enrolment of eligible programme participants.
  • Coordinate STEM, vocational, and adolescent youth programmes within the state.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-managed learning environment.
  • Monitor centre facilities and ensure required resources remain available.
  • Manage programme assets, records, and administrative documentation.
  • Organize orientation sessions for newly enrolled participants.
  • Promote continuous enrolment through outreach materials, social media, and community engagement.
  • Ensure training materials and learning resources remain adequately stocked.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by programme management.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A degree in a health-related discipline.
  • Additional experience in administration, management, or human resources will be an advantage.

Experience and Skills

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • At least three years of post-NYSC professional experience.
  • Experience supporting reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) programmes.
  • At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience working with young people and community-based programmes.
  • Good understanding of adolescent girls’ and young women’s issues.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of a Nigerian local language will be an added advantage.
