Job Overview

The Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will work with regional operations teams and report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager based at the Abuja support office.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management and MIS Support

The successful candidate will:

  • Support the collection of monthly regional service statistics from healthcare facilities and service delivery points.
  • Train operational teams on the effective use of management information systems.
  • Provide support on platforms such as ORION (DHIS online platform), CLIC client database, and other data collection systems.
  • Support staff in using data validation and performance management tools.
  • Ensure facilities have updated data collection tools and reporting documents.

Data Quality Monitoring and Documentation

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting monthly data entry processes and identifying data quality challenges.
  • Conducting routine data quality audits at regional offices and healthcare facilities.
  • Reviewing reported information against source documents to verify accuracy.
  • Maintaining audit records and following up on recommendations.
  • Supporting proper documentation storage and archiving procedures.
  • Helping regional teams resolve database access and system-related challenges.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Previous experience working within Nigeria’s public or private health sector is preferred.

  • Experience collecting, processing, analysing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.
