Key Responsibilities

Field data collection

• Collect data using approved DTM methods, tools and schedules.
• Support relevant partners with field data-collection activities.
• Conduct mobility tracking, registrations, flow-monitoring activities, assessments and surveys.
• Carry out rapid registration and other assessments when required.
• Work closely with field teams and partners in assigned operational areas.
• Remain available for deployment or redeployment at short notice when operationally necessary.

Data quality and reporting

• Maintain accuracy, accountability and credibility during interviews, data collection and data entry.
• Review DTM field operations and identify areas where quality or efficiency can be improved.
• Triangulate collected information with relevant partners in line with DTM methodology.
• Send field information promptly to the Team Leader or Project Assistant.
• Follow the standards and reporting requirements established for the DTM programme.
• Produce work that is accurate, service-oriented and delivered within the required timelines.

Confidentiality and ethical conduct

• Protect confidential information and follow the client’s data-protection principles.
• Observe humanitarian principles, including the principle of doing no harm.
• Maintain integrity and transparency when completing assigned responsibilities.

Reporting Structure

The Data Enumerator will work:

• Under the overall guidance of the DTM Program Officer.
• Under the technical supervision of the Senior Program Associate or Project Assistant for Operations.
• Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess a certificate, diploma or degree in a relevant field.

The experience requirements are:

• At least two years of relevant experience for candidates holding a university diploma; or
• At least one year of relevant experience for candidates holding a degree.

Experience in the humanitarian, NGO or INGO sector is mandatory. Previous humanitarian-assistance experience is listed as an advantage, as is experience in data collection and statistics.
