Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing broadband sales strategies within the assigned region and ensuring business targets are achieved across products and sales channels.
The role involves leading direct and indirect sales teams, improving market coverage, managing regional performance, and developing sustainable sales channels that support MTN Nigeria’s broadband expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities
The Manager – Broadband Regional Sales will be expected to:
- Lead and provide direction to the regional broadband sales team.
- Drive achievement of revenue, sales, customer acquisition, data device, airtime, and value-added service targets.
- Execute broadband sales strategies across retail and non-traditional sales channels.
- Improve product visibility, merchandising standards, and customer accessibility within the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners and trade partners.
- Manage channel performance, profitability, and partner engagement activities.
- Ensure customers receive a consistent experience across different retail channels.
- Monitor regional operating expenses and support business performance management.
- Strengthen field sales coverage through effective territory planning.
- Develop coaching and performance improvement programs for sales teams.
- Support go-to-market activities for MTN products and services.
- Track sales trends, stock availability, and product distribution performance.
- Work closely with inventory teams to forecast regional stock requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and distribution reports.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:
Education
- A first degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related Social Science discipline.
- A postgraduate qualification may be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of relevant local languages is preferred.
Professional Experience
Candidates should have:
- Between 6 and 13 years of professional experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience managing sales operations across different locations or markets.
- Background in telecommunications, FMCG, services, logistics, or related sectors.
- Telecom industry experience will be considered an advantage.
