Key Responsibilities

Project planning and delivery

  • Plan, execute and monitor multiple property-development projects from initiation through completion.
  • Establish and manage project timelines, milestones and deliverables using structured project-management methods.
  • Monitor progress to help ensure that work remains aligned with the approved scope and applicable standards.
  • Identify project risks and recommend measures to prevent delays or excessive expenditure.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and present relevant updates to management.

Budget and resource management

  • Develop project budgets and monitor expenses during implementation.
  • Track project progress against established financial targets.
  • Work with the procurement function to source and assess vendors and construction materials.
  • Monitor expenditure and recommend appropriate action where there is a risk of overspending.

Site monitoring and compliance

  • Conduct site visits and inspections during project execution.
  • Check construction activities for compliance with design, quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure relevant legal and regulatory requirements are observed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor matters relating to building regulations, permits and contractual requirements.

Team and stakeholder coordination

  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors, architects and other project stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective communication between departments involved in project delivery, including Sales, Legal and Marketing.
  • Promote collaboration among the different teams contributing to each property-development project.
  • Follow up on milestones and deliverables with the relevant internal and external parties.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction or a related field.
  • Between three and five years of experience managing real estate or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of project-management tools and software.
  • An understanding of contracts, budgeting, building regulations and permits.
  • The ability to deliver work within tight deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Residence in Lagos or willingness to relocate to Lagos.

A relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
