Role Summary

The Senior Finance Associate will provide specialised support across finance functions, ensuring accurate processing of transactions, proper documentation, timely reporting, and compliance with UNICEF financial requirements.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, and working with programme teams including the Polio Team, the role involves managing payment records, supporting financial reconciliations, responding to transaction queries, and helping improve finance processes.

The position requires strong attention to detail, confidence working with financial data, and the ability to manage multiple transactions while maintaining accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Payment Processing and Financial Verification

The Senior Finance Associate will support the review and processing of programme-related payments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing payment requests to confirm completeness and accuracy.
  • Verifying financial information before transactions are processed.
  • Supporting payment updates and resolving discrepancies.
  • Confirming successful transfers to beneficiaries or approved accounts.
  • Ensuring payment activities follow internal control procedures.

Maintain Financial Records and Monitoring Systems

The position will support accurate financial record management.

Key duties include:
