About KNOSK Charity Secondary School

The KNOSK N100-A-Day Charity Secondary School was established in Kuje to provide access to secondary education for children from low-income households and underserved communities. The school’s programme combines education with practical and technology-related learning, including computer education.

The organisation says its school was established in 2019 and is focused on helping children access quality, skills-based secondary education.

KNOSK N100-A-Day Charity Secondary School in Kuje, Abuja is looking for an AI Laboratory Attendant to help keep its AI and technology learning space organised, safe and ready for students and teachers.

The role is practical rather than highly technical. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily running of the laboratory, basic equipment support, record keeping and making sure students and other authorised users can use the facility properly.

What the role involves

The AI Laboratory Attendant will help with the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, including:

  • Opening and closing the AI Lab and keeping the space clean, safe and orderly.
  • Monitoring access to the facility and ensuring that only authorised users enter.
  • Preparing computers, equipment and the laboratory for classes, workshops, training sessions and other activities.
  • Monitoring how computers, devices, furniture and other resources are used.
  • Reporting damaged, missing or faulty equipment promptly.
  • Providing basic assistance with computers, internet connectivity and other laboratory equipment.
  • Keeping accurate records of laboratory usage, incidents, equipment and maintenance needs.
  • Ensuring that students and other users follow laboratory rules, safety procedures and acceptable-use policies.
  • Coordinating routine cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
  • Helping students, teachers and visitors with basic use of the laboratory when required.
  • Performing other duties related to the effective operation of the AI Lab as assigned.

What you need to qualify

  • The ability to take responsibility for equipment and other laboratory resources.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and keep the laboratory running without constant supervision.
  • Previous experience in a computer laboratory, ICT centre, school or similar environment will be an advantage.

Who will fit this position?

KNOSK is looking for someone dependable, trustworthy and comfortable working around technology and students.

You do not need to be an AI specialist to apply. The more important qualities are the ability to keep the laboratory organised, look after equipment carefully, assist users with basic technology needs and make sure the space is ready whenever it is needed.

For someone with a practical interest in computers and technology, the position can also provide useful experience in an education environment where digital learning is part of students’ day-to-day experience.
