Swift Consulting is currently recruiting a Private Driver for a full-time position in Fadeyi, Lagos.

About the Private Driver Role

The driver will be responsible for providing safe and dependable transportation for a client.

This position goes beyond simply driving from one destination to another. The successful candidate will need to plan journeys, understand Lagos traffic patterns, look after the assigned vehicle and keep accurate records of trips, fuel and maintenance.

Reliability, discretion and safe driving are therefore central to the role.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Drive the client safely to assigned destinations.
• Plan routes before trips and identify alternative routes when necessary.
• Check fuel, oil, water, tyres, brakes and lights before journeys.
• Keep the vehicle clean, roadworthy and properly serviced.
• Maintain records of mileage, trips, fuel purchases and repairs.
• Monitor vehicle documentation and report upcoming expiries.
• Handle errands such as deliveries, pickups and document drop-offs.
• Follow applicable traffic laws.
• Report accidents, vehicle faults and other incidents promptly.

Regular vehicle checks are particularly important because identifying a problem before a trip can help prevent avoidable breakdowns or safety issues.

Requirements and Experience

Applicants must have at least a Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) qualification.

The employer also requires:

• A valid driver’s license.
• A valid LASDRI card.
