Role Overview

PalmPay is seeking a Sales Officer to support the acquisition of customers for its loan products in Lagos. The position focuses mainly on identifying individuals and small and medium-sized business owners who require financing.

The Sales Officer will visit markets, shops, and other business locations to introduce available loan products, explain their benefits, and guide interested customers through the application and onboarding process. The role also involves generating qualified loan leads and following up on applications until eligible customers receive their loans.

This is a target-driven field position suited to someone who is comfortable speaking with prospective customers and working across assigned business areas.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Identify and approach prospective loan customers in markets, shops, and other business locations.
• Introduce PalmPay’s available loan products to eligible individuals and business owners.
• Explain loan benefits and the application process clearly to prospective customers.
• Help interested customers complete the required application and onboarding steps.
• Generate quality loan leads within assigned locations.
• Follow up on submitted applications and support customers throughout the application process.
• Work with verification and credit teams to facilitate the processing and disbursement of approved loans.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Work toward assigned daily and weekly loan acquisition and disbursement targets.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Have between zero and one year of relevant work experience.
• Be comfortable performing field-based sales activities in markets, shops, and business areas.
• Possess good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be willing to approach prospective customers and explain financial products.
• Be able to work toward daily and weekly performance targets.
• Reside in Lagos, the advertised job location.

Previous experience is not mandatory because training will be provided to successful candidates.
